Editorial Policy

This page explains how Amphipedia articles are researched, written, checked and updated, and how we handle affiliate links and AI tools.

Who Writes and Edits

Amphipedia is run by Rakib Sarwar, a life science graduate, pharmacist, blogger and SEO professional. He is responsible for what is published. Read more on the About page.

Our Standards

  • Answer the reader’s question first, then explain.
  • Use reputable sources: veterinary colleges and associations, public health agencies, wildlife authorities and peer-reviewed research.
  • Cite sources at the end of the article and link to them.
  • Say clearly when evidence is limited instead of guessing.
  • Never invent tests, statistics, quotes or reviews.

Care and Health Content

Care numbers such as temperatures and water-change schedules come from veterinary or public-health sources where we can find them. Keeper tips that are practice rather than veterinary guidance are labelled as such. We always recommend an exotics vet for sick animals.

Use of AI

We use AI tools to help research, draft and produce illustrations. A person reviews content before it is published. AI-generated images are labelled in their alt text or captions, and they are illustrations, not photographs of real animals or products.

Affiliate Links and Product Picks

Some articles contain affiliate links, including Amazon Associates links. Commissions never decide what we recommend. Product picks are based on relevance, customer ratings and review volume, and price information comes from Amazon. We do not claim hands-on testing unless an article says so. See the Affiliate Disclosure.

Updates and Corrections

We update articles when sources change and fix errors quickly. To report a mistake, contact us.
